I Deserve It (pt. 1)

I Deserve It (pt. 1)

I have a license plate that says,
"I deserve it." Given to me for my 34th birthday by my dear friend and cousin, Sara and her lovely family.
Now, for those of you who don’t know me, my name is Araxia. I am 34 years old. My partner in life is Raphael, whom I have known for more than half my life. Raph and I have a two beautiful children. George William who is 6 years old and Ani Grace who is 15 months old. I'm a 24 hour mommy and 8 hour hospice employee. So ... when do I have time to deserve anything? The answer is usually never, but for 6 years I've been on this "I deserve it" journey.
What am I deserving of?
This is the question I started asking myself after writing my masters thesis on Self Care. What is Self Care? I believe 'self care' and 'deserving' are concepts that may look different to each of us. We all deserve to take care of ourselves, to do small and big things to satisfy our hearts desires. Now the question is what are our hearts desires? The thing is in our culture we are so busy doing, working, going, studying, that we are not being. When we slow down and practice the art of being--which we all deserve to do--we then discover our hearts desires. After we have made this discovery we can then bring it into reality. Once a reality we are now taking care of our inner most being--our heart, which we all deserve to do. (FYI we are only now discovering that the heart has its own central nervous system and is not simply under the rule of the brain!)
I deserve it is the short phrase I use when I listen and discover my hearts desires. (And allow myself to take care of my self, my heart, and my desires).

Wishing you all A BLESSED day,

Araxia Manukyan

When Venice Calls

When Venice Calls

Hey PomeBombs!

The last month has been a blur.  I came back to California after years in Paris, with a dream. A dream Araxia and I had been conjuring up over the last months. We started day dreaming of a boutique.

Last month, the day before my birthday I decided LET’S DO THIS. What are we waiting for? Me? Timing? Her? The kids to grow up? A location to show up?

NON!

We decided to follow the theme of taking a step and letting the path show up. We would move one step at a time letting the signs direct our way.

Its now been three weeks and we have so many exciting things to share with you all!

We took a ‘work-ation’ (a word I am sure I did not coin, though I would like to think I did) and found ourselves having meetings with ALL the right people, in all the right places, and at the right times. We definitely believe in DIVINE timing.

Stay tuned for our launch, for fun photos for one of a kind garments and for a new kind of family. We Love each and every one of you and are SOOO GRATEFUL for all the support.

We are here to boldly love one another.
